1.5 Status and scope ¶

OwnSona is in active use as the author’s personal memory store. The core feature set is stable. See OwnSona-rollout-plan.md in the source tree for the per-phase implementation status.

Deliberately out of scope:

• Multi-user tenancy. Not coming.
• Hosted SaaS. Not coming. Run your own.
• Generative-LLM calls in the server’s synchronous request path. Not coming; guardrail #1. Generative calls are allowed for optional background/maintenance work through the GenerativeProvider seam (consolidation, conflict resolution, relation extraction), but they never sit between a client’s recall/remember and its response.
